We are discussing the date to resume routine patient care. Hopefully by the second week of May. As soon as we know a firm start date, we will call you to make appointments. We will be starting slowly with some additional rules about the office.
New rules will include only one guest with the patient. All other family members must wait outside the building. Only one person at at time at the front desk. Please observe social distancing inside the office. Rules will be posted at the front door.
For now, please stay safe and healthy.
I hope you all are staying safe and healthy. The State department of health services has not yet said we can start routine patient care. We are missing all of you and hope to return to regular scheduling as soon as possible.
If you do have an emergency, please call Dr. Jacob at 619 972-7167
We hope you are all healthy and safe. We will start calling to make appointments for regular care as soon as we are permitted by the State health department. We hope to be seeing you in May.
A note about broken braces. Please let us know if a brace is broken, so we can plan enough time to repair it at your next visit. You can call and leave a message or send an email through the CONTACT form on this website. If the broken brace is an end brace and the wire is poking, let us know so we can see you for an emergency visit. The emergency phone is 619 972-7167.
Our office continues to only see emergency patients. Routine appointments will be scheduled as soon as we are given permission by the State.
Broken braces/appliances are only an emergency if they are causing pain. If not they will be repaired after routine treatment resumes. If you have a broken brace, please send us an email (see the form on the Contacts page)
If you need immediate attention, please call 619 972-7167.
We remain under order from the California Department of Health Services to see emergency patients only. The order is currently in effect until April 30th. It is yet to be determined when we can resume routine patient care. We will announce the start of routine patient care in this space and start calling to schedule all of you who are overdue for your appointment. Be assured that a 1 to 2 month delay in treatment will not effect the outcome of the treatment.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times.
We are now a month into closing the office for routine care as was ordered by the California Department of Health Services (DHS). We re hopeful of restarting in May, however there is no clear indication from DHS as to a hard date for re-opening. Unfortunately, we can not provide active treatment by telemedicine.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this crisis.
We are available for orthodontic emergency care by appointment. Call 619 972-7167.
The California Department of Public Health issued a statement yesterday:
Postpone routine procedures, surgeries, and non-urgent dental visits. Perform only those procedures that are needed to treat dental emergencies (e.g., uncontrolled bleeding, severe pain, trauma, cellulitis).
Routine orthodontic treatment does not fall into these emergent areas. We are happy to see you if there is an emergency, however all routine care is suspended for now.
We hope to resume routine care as soon as it is safe and the “Stay at home” order is lifted. In the mean time, please stay safe and healthy.
